CLINICAL DIRECTOR; Dr. Aimee Galick
Dr. Aimee Galick has over 10 years of experience as an educator in university settings in Canada and the US. She has a doctorate in Marital and Family Therapy and extensive training in couples therapy, clinical research and therapy in medical settings. Dr. Galick serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy and has published articles and book chapters on couple therapy and research. She also works in the Ministry of Advanced Education conducting research and policy analysis.

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR; Dr. Sheryl Symister-Allen, Registered Psychologist (AB #5422)
In addition to her role as Associate Program Director and Clinical Supervisor for the Virtual Clinic, Dr. Symister-Allen currently works with Crisis and Trauma in a government agency in Edmonton. Her theoretical orientation is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but she considers herself to be an eclectic practitioner. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (Level 2) and Gottman Methods (Level 2). Dr. Symister-Allen is a life-long learner who is excited about the learning process. Her priority is to facilitate a collaborative, thought-provoking, fun and growth-inducing therapeutic environment. Her mantra reads: "There are no secrets to success. Dr. Elsie Lobo has a PhD in Systems, Families, and Couples and specializes in working with couples and families from a systemic perspective. Dr. Lobo has an interest in research and clinical work that aims at better understanding the systemic contexts that may constrain possibilities for healing and growth, and intervening both at the individual/family level and at the systemic level. This includes working with larger systems to make mental health services affordable, accessible, and inclusive for all populations. Dr. Lobo’s professional affiliations include the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She enjoys embarking with students on their learning journey as they grow into ethical, aware, and effective clinicians.
